NHAI vacancies 2024 details
NHAI's new vacancy is inviting candidates for the posts of design experts. The Design Experts Team will be assisting NHAI and advising them on all design related activities. Vacancy position in NHAI design experts team filling through this recruitment are : senior bridge/ structural engineer (1 vacancy), Bridge Design engineer (2 vacancy ), Geotechnical engineer (1 post),senior tunnel engineer (1 post),Tunnel engineer (1 post), Geologist (1 post), Quantity Surveyors(1 post) , Hydrology and hydraulic expert (1 vacancy ),Draftsman(2 posts).
Procedure to apply for this NHAI vacancy 2024
(I) Applications are to be submitted online only. The procedure to be followed for filling up the Online application is given in the online application portal, which can be accessed at http://www.nhai.gov.in. Eligible candidates may apply online on the link provided on the website of NHAI by 30th August 2024 (06:00 PM)

1.Senior structural engineer
Age limit -Maximum 60 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Education -Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent AND Proficient in Design Software's like STAAD, MIDAS, Sofistik etc.
Experience - minimum 12 years Experience of Design or Review of Design of Structures / Bridges.
2.Bridge design engineer
Age limit -Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Education -Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent AND Proficient in Design Software's like STAAD, MIDAS, Sofistik etc.
Experience - minimum 8 years Experience of Design or Review of Design of Structures /Bridges .
3.Geotechnical engineer
Age limit -Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application
Education -Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience - minimum 8 year Experience of Review of Geotechnical Reports .
4. Hydrology and Hydraulic expert
Age limit -Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Education - Post Graduate in Hydraulic Engineering /Water Resource Engineering or equivalent or Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Experience - minimum 8 years Experience of Review of Hydrology and Hydraulic Reports.
5.Senior tunnel engineer
Age limit -Maximum 60 years as on the last date Of submission of application.
Education -Graduate in Civil Engineering / Mining Engineering or equivalent AND Proficient in Design Software's.
Experience - minimum 12 years Experience of Design or Review of Design of Tunnels .
6.Tunnel engineer
Age limit - Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application .
Education -Graduate in Civil Engineering / Tunnel Engineering / Mining Engineering / Rock Mechanics or equivalent AND Proficient in Design Software.
Experience -Experience of Design or Review of Design of Tunnels .
7.Geologist
Age limit - Maximum 55 years as on the last date of submission of application .
Education -Post Graduate in Geology / related field .
Experience - minimum 8 years Experience of Review of Tunnel Design Reports.
8.Quantity Surveyor
Age limit - Maximum 45 years as on the last date of submission of application
Education - Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent / Certificate course from 'Institution of Quantity Surveying.
Experience - minimum 4 years Experience in Preparation of Bill of Quantities, Contract Documents & documentation of major highway projects involving major bridges / structures /tunnels .
9.Draftsman
Age limit - Maximum 45 years as on the last date of submission of application.
Education - (i)Passed a recognized High School Examination and Draftsman ITC Certificate Course OR Diploma in Civil Engineering OR Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent AND (ii) Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software.
Experience - minimum 5 years Experience in drafting drawings of structures, tunnels etc.

NHAI recruitment selection process
1.All the applications received in response to the positions advertised will be scrutinized and shortlisted by the Scrutiny / Screening Committee in accordance with eligibility and other conditions prescribed for NHAI recruitment 2024.
2. The Scrutiny / Screening Committee would recommend the list of eligible candidates (based on eligibility criteria / weightage specified at Appendix - A) for interview by the Interview / Selection Committee. Number of candidates for the interview shall be decided by the Scrutiny / Screening Committee appointed by NHAI.

Applicants who will be selected for the post mentioned above will receive a basic salary remuneration ranging between rupees 75,000 to 5,00,000 per month.
