IBPS SO exam important dates
IBPS SO exam application form submission will start from 1st August. Application form submission last date is 21st of August. Application modification should be also done between these two dates. IBPS SO prelim examination will be held in the month of November 2024 and Main examination will be held in the month December 2024.

IBPS SO exam age limit
Age of the candidates for IBPS SO exam should not be less than 20 years and more than 30 years. A candidate must have been born earlier than 02.08.1994 and later than 01.08.2004(both dates are inclusive). How to apply for IBPS SO exam 2024.
(1) Candidates are first required to go to the authorized IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP PO/MT” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- SPECIALIST OFFICERS (CRP-SPL-XIV)” to open the Online Application Form.
(2) Candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.
(3) Candidates are required to upload their
- Photograph
- Signature
- Left thumb impression
- A hand written declaration
- Certificate as mentioned in clause I (ix) (if applicable)
- Candidates will also be required to capture and upload their live photograph through webcam or mobile phone during the registration process. Please note that until photographs and signature are as per the specifications provided, the system will not allow the candidate to move forward to the next stage of application.
(4) Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. No change is permitted after clicking on COMPLETE REGISTRATION Button. Visually Impaired candidates are responsible for carefully verifying/ getting the details filled in, in the online application form properly verified and ensuring that the same are correct prior to submission as no change is possible after submission.
(5). After this candidate needs to pay the application fees and their application form will be submitted after the payment is successful.
IBPS SO 2024 exam will be conducted in three phases : prelim examination, Main examination and interview. Prelim will be a computer based test.
Prelim exam will consist of three sections: for the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha adhikari English language, General awareness, and reasoning and for other post English language, reasoning, quantitative aptitude. All this section in IBPS SO prelim exam will consist of 50 questions each. Time duration for solving the Prelim exam paper will be 2 hrs. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination. Main examination will also be a computer based test.
Main exam paper can be objective or descriptive according to the post you have applied for. Main exam will consist of 2 papers : professional knowledge (objective) and professional knowledge (descriptive) only for the post of Rajbhasha adhikari. All other post Main exams will consist of only professional knowledge (objective) which you have to solve in 45 minutes .
In IBPS SO recruitment examination candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer in the objective test. There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at a corrected score. IBPS SO exam 2024 application fee for SC/ST/PwBD categories candidates will be RS.175 and for all candidates belonging to other categories except categories mentioned above have to pay application fees of RS. 850. Remember that application fees need to be paid before 21.08.2024 or your application will be marked as incomplete and will get rejected automatically.
