RBI(Reserve Bank of India) selection board on 25th of July released the official notification related to direct recruitment of grade B officers for the year 2024. There are a total of 94 vacancies for the posts of grade B officers. How to apply for a Grade B officer post in RBI?
1.Candidates need to go to the RBI official website. Their current opportunities section will be inside which vacancies section will be there. In the vacancies section there will be a hyperlink of the application form. Click it.
2.Candidates then need to register themselves in RBI official website by providing their photograph, thumb impression and other details. After complete registration candidate can start to fill the application form.
3.Candidates need to fill the application form with the personnel details and educational details.
4.After filling all the required details in the application form candidates will be directed to the preview section where candidates can recheck the details they have provided in application form. Note that if any incorrect information is provided in application form your application will get canceled automatically.
5.After preview candidates need to pay the application fees. Application fees need to be paid by online mode; no other mode will be accepted.
6.submit the application form.
Eligibility criteria RBI grade B officer
1.Candidate needs to be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan.
2.Candidate age for applying for the post of Grade B officer should be between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories according to government rules.
3.For post of Grade B officer general - Candidates need to have a graduation degree from a government recognized university or institution with a minimum 55% mark in aggregate.
For DEPR - candidates need to have a master degree in economics from a government recognized university or institution with a minimum 55% mark in aggregate.
For DISM-candidates need to have a master degree in statistics from a government recognized university or institution with a minimum 55% mark in aggregate.
Application Fees of RBI Grade B Examinations
Candidates belonging to GEN/OBC/EWS categories need to pay application fees of rupees 850 and candidates belonging to other categories need to pay application fees of rupees 100.
Exam pattern of RBI grade B
Selection process will consist of three phases: phase-1,phase-2 and interview.
Phase-1 will contain one paper and will be a computer based test. It will consist of only MCQ which needs to be done in 120 minutes . Paper will consist of four sections: General awareness, English language, quantitative aptitude and reasoning. Note that there will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for each incorrect answer.
Phase-2 will consist of three papers: Economics and social issues, English, General finance and management. Economics and social issues and General finance and management paper will consist of 50% MCQ and 50% descriptive questions. English paper will be only descriptive. For both paper-1 and 3 there will be 30 MCQ that will carry 50 marks and there will be 6 descriptive questions out of which candidates need to attempt any 4.
Candidates will be called for an interview if they clear the combined cutoff of phase 1 and 2. Interview will be of 75 marks.
Final merit list will be released after the interview round on the RBI official website.
Salary of Grade B officer in RBI
Candidates selected for the post of Grade B officer in RBI will get a basic salary of rupees 55,000 along with rent allowance, Medical allowance and other facilities.
